Car Paint Aerosol 400ML & Pen 12ML Combo Matched By Registration Number 400ML
NB We will find your Colour code using your registration and mix up the paint to that code. Always test your aerosol or touch up on a test piece first and get in touch with us if there is any variation before applying to your car. Never apply to vehicle without testing first.
Just type in your registration number and we will do the rest.
This aerosol is designed for spraying on parts that are already painted or primed. The pen is designed for very small chips less than the size of a matchstick head.
If your paint is a metallic colour or if there is bare metal present we recommend to purchase the Exact Match Paint Kit. This is because without Lacquer the metallic look or shine will not show up in the paint.
Always shake very well and allow for very minor difference between our paint and the colour of your car. This is for a number of reasons, most frequently its because of your car paint fades over time.
99% of the time we can find your unique colour code using your registration number. In the unlikely result that we cannot find your code we will contact you with instructions on where you will find your colour code on the car.
Instructions:
- Shake Well
- Spray aerosol well for at least 3-minutes. Shake pen well and squeeze to allow paint to penetrate the tip.
- Leave for 2-3 Hours to dry before driving
- Ideally use a heat gun to dry
- Reapply if necessary
Top Tip:
- If you only use some of the can and feel you will use it again at a later date, turn the can upside down and spray until it sprays clear. This clears out the nozzle to allow for seamless spraying in future.
N.B.
We cannot guarantee a 100% exact match from the reg number, the only way to obtain the 100% exact match is to send us a piece such as the tow eye cover so we can scan it.
Any orders for our exact match paint before 3PM will be dispatched same day.
Always spray a test piece first to ensure a good colour match before spraying directly on your vehicle.
Always use a mask and in a well ventilated area when using aerosol paints.
How To Use
1. Preparation:
- Ventilation: Ensure the area is well-ventilated. Outdoor spaces are ideal, but if you must work indoors, open windows and use fans to circulate air.
- Surface Preparation: Clean the surface to be painted. Remove dirt, grease, and any other contaminants to ensure the paint adheres properly.
2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Respiratory Protection: Wear a suitable respirator mask that can filter paint fumes, not just a dust mask.
- Eye Protection: Use safety goggles to protect your eyes from spray mist.
- Skin Protection: Wear long sleeves, gloves, and long pants to minimize skin exposure. Use barrier creams on exposed skin if necessary.
- Hearing Protection: If working in a confined space, consider ear protection due to the noise from aerosol cans.
3. Safe Use:
- Shake Well: Shake the can for at least 2 minutes to ensure the paint is well mixed.
- Spray Technique: Hold the can 6 to 8 inches from the surface. Spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, overlapping each stroke.
- Test Spray: Always test spray on a piece of cardboard or scrap material to check the spray pattern and consistency.
- Avoid Flames: Aerosol paints are flammable. Keep away from open flames, sparks, and heated surfaces.
4. Health Precautions:
- Avoid Inhalation: Even with ventilation, take breaks to get fresh air. Never spray paint inside a closed room without proper respiratory protection.
- First Aid: Know the first aid procedures for inhalation, skin contact, and eye contact. Have safety data sheets (SDS) for the paints you’re using accessible.
5. Environmental Protection:
- Dispose of Cans Properly: Never puncture, burn, or incinerate aerosol cans. Follow local regulations for disposal.
- Prevent Overspray: Use drop cloths or newspapers to catch overspray and protect surrounding areas.
6. Storage:
- Temperature Control: Store aerosol cans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Secure Storage: Keep paints out of the reach of children and pets.
7. Emergency Preparedness:
- Fire Extinguisher: Have a dry chemical fire extinguisher nearby in case of fire.
- Spill Kit: Keep a spill kit handy for quick cleanup of leaks or spills.
8. Legal and Ethical Considerations:
- Follow Regulations: Be aware of and comply with local environmental and safety regulations regarding aerosol paint use.
- Consider Alternatives: Where possible, consider using less hazardous alternatives to aerosol paints.
9. Continuous Learning:
- Stay Informed: Safety standards and best practices evolve. Stay informed about new safety information and product innovations.
